We visit a children’s home in (Myanmar) Burma to work with a range of children and teenagers, enabling them to learn new skills in performing arts and sports.
We actively encourage and enable links between the children in Myanmar and children local to us by supporting them to communicate with each other via letters and cards.
We organise regular events that reach out and involve children and families in the life of the local church we are connected to.
These events always have a performing and/or creative arts emphasis to them, which gives children an opportunity to try activities like craft, singing, dancing and acting.
We run a puppet team called ‘The Sparkle Squad’ that utilises the talent of local young people and provides puppet and black light theatre shows.
These shows are for the benefit and entertainment of local children and their families.
The team are planning to visit in the Spring of 2020 where they are hoping to work in the area along the Irrawaddy river where there is a lot of poverty as well as in the children's home in Yangon, Myanmar.
A team of people from various parts of the UK will travel out to the country and work alongside Christian brothers and sisters from the local Bible school.
Exact plans are still in the pipeline, so please watch this space. You can give to this project by clicking on our donation page.
